SAMROHA

One Life to Love.
Whether you or someone you know is dealing with alcohol or substance use problems, no matter how difficult and confusing it all seems right now. Know this- You are not alone.
"SAMROHA" is a Sanskrit word which has multiple meanings. It means "bursting forth or into view" "healing", "growing up" or "growing over". Addiction treatment too is a process of "bursting forth" into a more authentic self or being unleashed from endless emotional pain, guilt and self- medication. It is about growing out of certain self- destructive behaviors through psychological, emotional and spiritual evolution, rather than "just getting over it".

Addiction treatment services offered by substance abuse treatment programs vary, as do the modalities, staff, and target populations.
AM I ADDICTED?
Addiction is a disease and not a moral and psychological weakness. A thorough understanding of the addictive process and what is required for recovery empowers the individual to prevent the disease from asserting control over his/ her life.

Recovery Programs

Medical detoxification is only the first stage of addiction treatment and by itself does little to change long- term drug use. Counseling (individual and/or group) and other behavioral therapies are critical components of effective treatment for addiction. However, all clients with the same issues cannot be treated in the same manner. Besides the extremely popular and widespread use of the 12- Step modality, a number of other therapies have had varying degree of success. Research shows that no single treatment has shown to be effective for all individuals with alcohol and substance abuse issues.  Infact, in recent years, interest in the field has increasingly focused on client-treatment matching to improve outcome. The hypothesis is that more beneficial results can be obtained if treatment is prescribed on the basis of individual patient needs and characteristics. We can help you choose the recovery program that best fits your current needs.

We believe that the question to ask is not "which treatment works best" but "which treatment works for whom and when?"
As treatment providers, it is our responsibility then, to provide a client a range of therapeutic options at different stages of the recovery process to suit the unique demands of each stage.
TREATMENT METHODS
No single treatment is appropriate for all individuals. Matching treatment settings, interventions, and services to each individual’s particular problems and needs is critical to his or her ultimate success in returning to productive functioning in the family, workplace, and society.

RELAPSE PREVENTION & AFTERCARE
Relapse is the central obstacle to recovery. However, it does not mean that treatment has failed. People relapse for different reasons at different points in their lives. A sobriety maintenance program can  help identify & explain the common mistakes that can cause a person to relapse. Know More
SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES OF ADDICTED INDIVIDUALS
As much as an addicted person may need professional support, so do the family members or persons part of such a support system. Addictive disorders place a disproportionate amount of pressure on spouses/ partners, children, parents and others. Relationships can be strained, children traumatized or neglected and often, those around an addicted individual may unknowingly "enable" addictive behavior. We also provide specific counseling to cope with and possibly repair some of the damage that addiction causes in a family/ support system.  Contact us to know more about how your participation in the recovery program of a loved one can help you as well as him/ her.

Psy.Q

Current research shows that the presence of Alexithymia (difficulty in identifying & expressing emotiions) in alcohol/ substance dependent persons can influence the outcome of treatment and different treatment approaches are required for such clients. Have you been screened for Alexithymia?
